ACCWing 100% Composite – The Smart Rigid Wing for Workboats and Sailing Drones
ACCWing Composite is a next-generation rigid wing designed for wind propulsion of workboats and autonomous marine drones. Made entirely from flexible composite materials, which can be completely covered with flexible solar cells, it features a textile-free composite structure that ensures high durability, enhanced resistance to marine environments, and consistent aerodynamic performance.
Equipped with composite panels and internal actuators, the wing features automatically controlled variable camber. Its architecture allows for dynamic adaptation to wind conditions, with lift forces reaching up to twice that of a conventional rig of the same surface area.
Robust, reefable, furlable, low-maintenance, and operable without a crew, ACCWing Composite is a reliable, intelligent wind propulsion solution perfectly suited to new generations of maritime platforms—whether professional or autonomous.
The wing can be installed on either a stayed or freestanding mast, with a balanced geometry around its rotation axis. This configuration minimizes mechanical loads, reduces energy requirements for control, and simplifies integration on existing hulls, even lightweight ones.
Thanks to its aerodynamic efficiency and low drag, ACCWing Composite enables effective sailing up to 25° off the true wind, delivering strong upwind performance—even for drones or autonomous vessels operating over long distances.

For long-endurance autonomous system applications (drones), the wing is non-retractable and remains permanently in an upright position, continuously self-regulating without human intervention. Camber, angle of attack, and rotation around the mast are fully automated through an onboard control system capable of responding to the environment and navigation strategy in real time and proactively.

Our drone concepts are designed with an auto stable rig, with the aerodynamic incidence controlled by the camber of the tail, which gives us by far the most energy efficient system.
This arrangement, without rotation axes, generates a complete frame which makes the system particularly resistant.
The 100% composite wing equipped with our muscle camber control system, without any mechanical element, is completely insensitive to harsh the marine environment.
The wing offers a large surface area receiving solar panels, ensuring not only the power supply of the instruments and piloting management but also electric power propulsion in good weather and flat calm.
The drones are designed with almost zero windage which gives them, in addition to excellent upwind performance, great course stability, therefore saving steering energy.
